Well, this past weekend I found out our National Guard unit is heading to Iraq. I'll be leaving my full time job at D. Miller & Associates in Raleigh to go into active duty on September 20. As far as all the other info, I can't release any details. All I can say is that I'll be able from work, friends, and family for at least a year. Everyone has been supportive today though. I'll have to brush up on my weapons skills. It's been over 10 years since I've fired an M16 or machine gun. In addition, we have to be proficient in other weapons. We have to learn the language of the country also. It'll be exciting, but in some ways scary. I know I'll have my job back in Raleigh when I get back sometime in October/November 2004 (hopefully). Anyway, if anyone reads this and would like to send letters, I'll try to submit a journal entry of my address overseas. I will post a journal entry whenever I can.
